What are the dates for the show?
April 8th, 9th and 10th, however you can check in early at the hotel and enjoy the Mesquite/Dallas area.
Where is the Mesquite Memorial Stadium located?
The Memorial Stadium is on the campus of the West Mesquite High School. The address is 2411 West Scyene Road, Mesquite TX 75149. Exit Interstate 635 at the Military Parkway exit. Turn right (West) onto Scyene Road crossing Military Parkway. Mesquite Memorial Stadium will be on the left shortly after crossing Military Parkway. There is a large radio tower next to the stadium on the show site.
Is the show site close to hotels listed on the registration form?
The host hotel and other recommended hotels are within 5 miles from the show field. Some are very close.
Will I be getting a confirmation that my registration was received?
Confirmations will be sent to email addresses if provided for those received prior to the end of early registration which is March 11, 2011.
Is there a deadline for registration?
The deadline for EARLY registration is March 11, 2011or when the max capacity of the car show field has been reach which is 500 cars.
Can I register at the show?
Yes, however it is best to pre-register.
Can I get a refund after registering?
All transactions are final, there are no refunds.
When us the earliest time I can arrive at the show site with my Mustang?
You and your Mustangs can arrive on the show site on Friday, April 8th after 8:00am. However you are welcome to check in early at the hotel and enjoy the Mesquite/Dallas area.
What are the dates and times classification is scheduled?
Classification starts Friday at 8 am and continues all day until 5pm. Classification continues Saturday from 8 am until 11 am. You are encouraged to bring your Mustang for classification on Friday.
Is there a limit to the number of cars that I can enter?
There is no limit to the number of cars you can enter. There is a limit to the number of cars that can be on the show field. This limit is 500 cars.
Will there be classes for Ford, non-Mustangs in the show?
Yes, the class is called “Powered by Ford Display Only” on the registration form. This is a popular vote class and trophies will be awarded.
Can I leave my Mustang at the show site Friday and Saturday nights?
Yes you are welcome to leave your Mustang in your assigned parking spot; there will be security officers at the show site from during none show hours.
Will there be food services at the show site?
The show site is located on the campus of West Mesquite High School; the High School will be providing food services during show hours.
Is the show open to the general public? Are there any fees?
The MCA National show is open to the public and there is no admission fee or parking cost.
Will there be anything to occupy my kids at the show?
If the kids enjoy fantastic Mustang cars they will have plenty to occupy themselves, there are no other facilities for kids.
Will there be vendors at the show?
There will be vendors on the show field that will be displaying merchandise and have available for purchase.
Will there be security for my Mustang at the show and/or the hotel?
There will security for the show cars at the show field Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night. There is no additional security at the hotels.
Where do I take my Mustang when I arrive at Memorial Stadium?
When you arrive at the Memorial Stadium you will be directed to the classification location. After your Mustang is classified and you pick up your registration materials you will be assisted on where to park your car.
Will there be trailer parking at the show site?
Trailer parking will be provided for show car participants at the show site. This will be in the East Parking lot; staff will be available to direct you to the correct location. You can unload your Mustang and drive to classification station.
What safety equipment should I bring to the show?
All cars in the show field should have a fire extinguisher.
How can I get help, or a question answered during the show?
The Registration Tent will be the focal point for questions and assistance at the show
Will clubs be allowed to park their Mustangs together?
If a club or group wishes to park together you are requested to arrive at the show site as a group to be classified and assigned parking locations. If you can not arrive as a group efforts will be made to park the club or group together; however we can not guarantee this if you do not arrive together. Your assistance in this is appreciated.
How will my Mustang be judged?
Your Mustang will be judged using MCA rules. You can download the MCA rules at http://www.mustang.org/content.php/185-Mustang-Judging-Rules.
Do I need to be present when my Mustang is judged?
Judges prefer to talk to the Mustang owner prior to judging the car to understand if there is anything unique or special about the car. Sometimes questions come up and if the owner is present it could be helpful. Being with your Mustang when it is judged is not a requirement.
Are display items (information poster, photos, etc) with my Mustang?
Signs, displays, stanchions, etc. are not allowed on/in or around cars to be judged. However cars entered in Retired, Conservator or Thoroughbred classes are encouraged to provide displays.
How do I inform Judges of Modifications to my Mustang?
All Modified class entries must provide a minimum of one 8 1/2”x11” sheet listing all visible modifications to their car. At the owner’s option, a 1” spine, 3-ring binder may be used to list modifications.
Will there be facilities to wash my Mustang at the show site or the hotels?
On site detailing will be available at the Wild West Pony Show by Showroom FX
- Hand wash: $25-$40.00 (depending upon extent of exterior clean up) includes tire dress
- Interior wipe-down or vacuum: Priced individually
- 1-stage wax application by machine: $75.00
- Swirl removal/multi-step detail: Price upon inspection
Will there be parking and RV facilities at the show site?
There will be a location to park a RV during the day. There will be no electrical or sewage service or other services at the parking location. There is no overnight camping allowed, you must move any RVs to a campground at 5PM each day.
Are sun canopy’s or tents allowed at the show?
Tents or canopies are not allowed by participants on the show field. Vendors are allowed to have tents outside the show car area.
Are alcoholic beverages allowed at the show?
There will be no alcoholic beverages allowed at the show site.
Will there be any show related events Friday evening?
Nothing is scheduled for Friday.
Will there be any show related events Saturday evening?
There is a dinner and dancing event planned for Saturday evening at the Southern Junction restaurant. Information can be found on the Show Website Home page. You can enjoy a Texas style steak prepared to your liking, or you can have the honor of grilling your own just the way you like it. You must pre-register for this event. Bus transportation to and from the event is included in the $35 dollar charge. Buses will be leaving from and returning to the Hampton (Host Hotel). You can drive to the Southern Junction yourself; however if you are driving your Mustang, understand the restaurant has a gravel parking lot.
Where will the Awards Presentation be held, and at what time?
Awards will start at 2pm Sunday afternoon on the west side of the football stadium
Do I have to be present at the Awards Presentation event?
Awards must be picked up at the awards event. If you can not be at the awards presentation, please arrange for someone to pick up your award for you. If awards are not claimed at the show they will be forfeited.
Where will the judges meeting be held, and what time?
The Judges meeting be at 10 am following the opening ceremony. The location will be the West concourse near the North end of stadium.
How will Emergency care be provided if necessary?
Contact NTMC members at Registration Tent or any NTMC member with identifying shirts.
There will be a mobile first aid station with trained staff to assist anyone if the need should arise.
Is there a car wash facility nearby the Mesquite Memorial Stadium?
Less than 1/2 mile West of the Stadium on Scyene is a very nice self serve car wash, show volunteers can help with directions on-site if needed.
